BACKGROUND & EDUCATION
Some might call Greg a modern-day Renaissance man. Not only is he an artisan in the areas of carpentry, masonry and dental technology, but he's also an artist with an innate skill for painting and has a passion for cooking. Greg and his wife, Deena, own and operate Montillo Italian Foods which produced its first product in September 2008. They manufacture a traditional Mediterranean favorite known throughout southern Italy as Vino Cotto, a naturally sweet, "cooked wine" syrup used as both an ingredient and condiment. Gregorio (Greg) Montillo was born in Montepaone located in Calabria, Italy. His immediate family moved to the United States in 1970, and Greg became a U.S. citizen in 1979. He received a Master's degree from Boston University in 1978. After deciding to make a career change, he returned to school and received a degree in Dental Laboratory Technology in 1997. He is a Certified Dental Technician and a highly-recommended, experienced contractor. Montepaone, Italy magestically overlooks the Ionian Sea. Photo by Gregorio Montillo, Summer 1974
